Ok ok. So it's been a VERY long time since I've updated this thing. I'm sorry. I just had a lot going on. Work mostly. Anyway, I'm back and I'm alive and well. Haha. Hope no one missed me too much. I'm trying to get better about sharing what's going on in my life, I really am.

I get pretty much all my hair chopped off this Friday. It's exciting but at the same time I'm pretty nervous. Oh well! It's only hair. If I hate it completely it'll grow back, right?

I also finally figured out a nice new layout that I ADORE! *sigh* Gerard is a very beautiful man. He is...no really.

So in a nutshell...I got my labret pierced, I put black and turquoise streaks in my hair, and went to Atlanta with Valerie and Waz for the Taste of Chaos Tour all in less than 3 days!

I'd say that's some serious living. Haha. Labret piercing....I totally didn't feel it. Not at all. In fact, had I not been watching Lala do it I don't think I would have known she did anything except clamp my lip with these forcep looking things.

I lied...the black streaks have been there since sunday before this past one. The turquoise went in Monday though. It turned out really awesome and I love it. I think I'll try to add some more to it as it begins to fade out.

The freakin' Taste of Chaos Tour...OMG. I don't really know what to say. I was so nervous when Waz first mentioned it because I'd never been to a real rock show before. Not one that involved crowd surfing and mosh pits anyway. But needless to say, after seeing Story of the Year, Atreyu, As I Lay Dying, Thrice, etc., I'm no longer afraid and I can't wait to go to another one.

Now if only I can make it to a My Chemical Romance show. Sigh. Gerard Way. He's a gorgeous man. Oh right...I've also been sucked into the world of reality TV by one certain show...

...There and Back. It's on mtv for those of you who don't already know. It's about Ashley Parker Angel (former O-Town member) and how he's working on his new album. He and his now fiancee had a baby last year. He's SOOOO cute and his name is Lyric which I think is a completely rockin' name.

So that's pretty much all that's been going on in my life recently. Hope to see everyone soon.

Ok. WoW. It's been for friggin' ever since I last updated. I don't exactly have time for a real update this very minute...but I do have an awesome picture to share. I was bathing my cat, Audrey, last night and got this crazy idea about how cool it would be if she were pink. I mean I like her white but honestly another color would be so cool. So I went downstairs and grabbed some strawberry lemonade as well as some black cherry koolaid and rubbed it on her. Guess what!!! My cat's pink!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well. There you have it. HAHA! I don't even think she notices. More later...peace.

So here I am...at the computer...waiting for Val to get home from work because until then I'm gonna be bored to tears. Although, I did manage to figure something out to do with my layout. It kind of reflects my mood towards it. Grrrr...it just won't do what I want it to. On the other hand...I just gave Val's journal a make-over and I must say hers turned out really awesome. It's all based around the song Twenty-four by Switchfoot. Great song! I've had it and My Own Sweet Time by Hanson on repeat on my playlist all day. I think they're both great theme songs for the coming year. Especially My Own Sweet Time. But I made this really kick ass banner for Val's userinfo that took me from about 8 to now. Haha. So about 3 hours later I emerge with a really awesome banner. Too bad it looks better when it's not on her journal. I dunno if photobucket made it look that way or something else. But the words on it are fuzzy now. Oh well.

When Val gets home we're making lots of spinach dip, eating ice cream, and getting totally trashed!!! Haha. I cannot wait. I don't like to be drunk very often so I usually opt for maybe 3 times a year. The only stable day of the three is New Years. But for some reason I never seem to get drunk on New Years Eve. It's always New Years Day. It was last year. Boy, me and Liz were so plastered. Good times, good times! Teehee! I'm still laughing about that night and I think I will be for the rest of my life. (Sorry about that wine on the head there Waz.) Liz...who needs a glass? Why not just drink from the bottle?! HAHA! Oh geez. Last year there was a small bottle of champagne, 2 bottles of Behringer(sp?) white zinfandel, and 1 bottle of bacardi O consumed. Mostly by me and Liz! WE SO ROCK!!!

On the menu for tonight I have a bottle of Sauza Gold Tequila (tequila and apple juice is my favorite drink...yeah, it's weird...but SO good!) and Val has a bottle of SKYY Vodka. I've never had Vodka before. Oh well, there's a first time for everything. Val should be home in about 45 minutes. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Well, I guess that's all for me for now. This entry was pretty random and not that interesting. In fact you probably won't get anything out of it unless you've seen me drunk or been drunk with me. Apparently that's quite an experience. Haha! Later.

How friggin' appropriate.

That was actually one of my real resolutions. Odd that the computer just spit that one out.

I'm in my room right now on my day off freezing to the bone even though I have about 3 layers of clothing on my body. In short: I think I'm getting sick again. Which is ok and I'll deal with it as long as it doesn't interfere with me being very drunk tomorrow night and hungover on Sunday.

So right. Resolutions. I've always made them but never seriously. I always said things like...

-I'll eat more fruit

-I'll stop swearing

-I'll give myself a facial at least once a week

Blah, blah, blah, yada, yada...why do I never keep those? Well isn't it a little obvious? They're cheesy. They hold no sense of urgency. If I don't care enough about them I won't keep them. Which is why I've been thinking long and hard about my resolutions for 2006 since Halloween and this is what I've come up with:

1. Lose weight.

Yes, I know this one belongs to just about everyone in the galaxy but it's mine as well. So I'm going hardcore this time. I will be able to shop somewhere else besides Lane Bryant. I WILL DAMN IT!

2. Stop caring what everybody thinks about me all the friggin time.

This one's such a pain in the ass because I'm paranoid I think. I also think this kind of goes hand in hand with number one. I'm uncomfortable around people because (even though I know most of them aren't even paying attention) I feel as if they're all thinking in their heads, "Look at the fat girl." Or because I'm not in school, "Look at the loser. Can I have some fries with that?" Well, no more. I'm done.

3. Learn to drive, get my license and a car.

I've been so embarrassed about this driving thing. I mean it seemed fine and not so odd right after Katie died when I didn't have a job and when I didn't have places that I wanted to go. I hate having to rely on eveyone else to get me places and I hate having to tell everyone at work that my mom brings me to work and picks me up. It makes my stomach turn thinking about it.

4. Concentrate on what makes ME happy for once.

I don't do this nearly as much as I should. I'm too busy worrying about my parents or my friends and what they'll say if I turn down an offer to go to dinner or a movie with them to go play volleyball with some of the guys from my work.

5. Focus on my dreams and don't let anyone crush them.

Music is what I love and whether I'm writing it for other people, performing it, selling merch. at shows, being a roadie, a recording engineer, a producer,working in management or just being moral support I know that's what my career will one day be in. Now's the time for me to concentrate on what I need to do in order to obtain these goals.

6. Become a better musician.

Maybe I'll reconnect with my piano or maybe I'll become a better guitarist or violinist...maybe I'll even pick up a new instrument like the drums or mandolin. The possibilities are all there I just need to devote time to practice everyday for at least 30 minutes.

7. Become financially stable.

This means paying off the bills I have now and learning to save and budget. This shouldn't be too difficult and I'm already making strides. Especially now that Christmas is over.

8. Travel more often and further away.

This goes along with the finances and the driving. I want to see the world before I'm laying 6 feet below it's surface. I'm going to start setting aside money for trips and research places I want to go.

9. Make more friends.

Doesn't mean my current friends aren't good enough. I'd just like to have more and with this new job I've had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people that I know I'd like to be closer to. I wrote an entry a while ago about wanting to be in a place or find people like me. People who have music coursing through their veins and passion to make something out of their talents shooting from their souls. GC is that place for me. I've been following Jay's band (the gigs) around already and I'm gonna start helping out Will's band (Leaving Miss Blue) and I still have Jason's bands (Little House and The Icons) to cover as well. Not to mention Hal who's been to film school and is going to teach me a little of what he knows, Chad R. who's a pro DJ, Myron who's a session musician out of Nashville who'll be going on tour as a percussionist from February til April, and Matt who's 18 and done more in the way of music and studio work than most of these guys put together. GOD I LOVE IT THERE!

10. Gain confidence, self-respect, and self-esteem.

I just want to be able to wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and be happy with what I see and with who I am. I want to be able to see that I'm here for a reason, I have a purpose and I'm not just another waste of space. I want to feel appreciated and important. I don't want to feel belittled and I want to be able to walk out the door every day and crawl into bed every night without regretting anything I've said or done all day.

Those are my resolutions for this year. I'm going to print them off and tack them up next to my bed. This is gonna be a great year. It's my year to fix myself from the inside out. Say a proper "fuck off" to my fears, doubts, and insecurities, and start to live. That way I'll be completely happy and ready for 2007 and that year will be MY year! I'll turn 21 and my life will start going up.

OY FRICKIN' VEY!!!

Just a very quick recap of the past day or so.

RENT was absolutely AMAZING! Not that I doubted it. I mean when we saw the musical live is was awesome and the movie didn't disappoint either. Of course they cut out a few songs and they changed some minor things in the dialogue but nothing that really changes the meaning of the story. I saw it on the 23rd which was it's opening day and I went again yesterday. Haha...guess I couldn't get enough. I was gonna go again today but my mom actually wanted to spend some real quality time with me (for once). So we've rented some movies and ordered take out from Chile's. It should be fun! I'm gonna get my fix tomorrow though cause Liz and me are gonna go after I get off work tomorrow. SO YAY!!!

Today, as most of you already know, was "Black Friday". The biggest shopping day of the Christmas season and, for the most part, the year! Lucky me...I had to work. There were 106 people in and out within the first hour!!! I know the total at the end of the night will easily reach at least 400 people. It's been a mad house all day.

Does everyone know that Hanson's grandpa died on the 22nd? I think that's a valid statement anyway. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But if it's true...that REALLY sucks and I feel for the guys. Losing people around the holidays is the worst.

I guess that's all I can think of at the moment. Maybe I'll edit this later. You never know with me, right? Haha!

OHIO SUCKS!!!

Sorry to anyone from Ohio. I just wasn't very impressed. Though, I must say driving through Kentucky TO Ohio was torture. The guys as always were completely and totally kick ass. No signage seeing this time though. But hey, you can't snag their attention EVERY TIME now can you? Ha! I'm racking my brain trying to remember the set lists from both nights. I do know that they sang "Change In My Life" by Rockapella at both shows which was AWESOME!!! They played "In A Way" which I ADORE!!! I loved the lyrics but actually hearing the song was really nice. I hope they record it eventually.

They did "Desire" by U2 and "Long Train Running" by the Doobie Brothers. They didn't play "Optimistic" which made me a bit sad but they did manage to play "Rock -N- Roll Razorblade" so that rocked!!!

Other than the shows we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because it's in Cleveland and had so much fun! They had the clothes the guys wore in the "If Only" video on display. The only part of the museum that really sucked was the no photography rule. I suppose I can see why they'd do that though.
